The foundation stone of the school building was laid by Dr. K. J. Yesudas, the legendary maestro of Kerala. Situated on a picturesque hillock at Mambaram, the school enjoys a calm, serene, and inspiring environment that provides an ideal setting for teaching and learning.
Indira Gandhi Public School is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. As a co-educational institution, the school prepares students for the Secondary School Examination (SSE) and the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE).The school comprises four academic divisions: Kindergarten (KG), Primary (Classes I–V), Secondary (Classes VI–X), and Senior Secondary (Classes XI–XII). English is the medium of instruction. In addition to English, students are taught Hindi and Malayalam, along with a comprehensive range of science and other academic subjects.
